Junior Rally driving was introduced to the UK in 2004, when our parent company rallyschool.co.uk joined Virgin in offering rally driving experiences to young drivers here in the UK, it soon became apparent that these young drivers had a lot more to offer than we maybe first thought.

Step forward Formula1000 rally club. The club had been running for several years, offering drivers a much reduced entry level into the sport of rallying. The man behind Formula 1000 Tristan Dodd had several meetings with rallyschool and other companies to discuss the possibility of juniors actually having their own rally series. That was when the real work started, Tristan spent the next three years putting together, with the sports governing body, the MSA (Motor Sports Association ) here in the UK, a rally championship for drivers aged from fourteen to seventeen.

History was finally achieved when twelve young drivers and their cars did their first competitive rally in March 2009, the success continued thoughout the year doing some six events stretching from Caerwent South Wales to NE Teesside. 2010 has seen the field grow to over twenty five crews taking on some sixteen events.

Rallyschool has been the driving standards advisor, licence test examiner and principle trainer to all the young drivers.
